Oxford, UK – Grammy-nominated rapper Slowthai, whose real name is Tyron Frampton, has been cleared of rape charges alongside his co-accused, Alex Blake-Walker, following a two-week trial at Oxford Crown Court.
The jury, after more than 10 hours of deliberation, acquitted both men of three joint charges of rape relating to an incident involving two women in September 2021. Blake-Walker was also cleared of an additional charge of sexual assault.

The women alleged they were raped on the property’s roof. Both defendants admitted to sexual activity but maintained it was consensual. In his defense, Frampton described the allegations as “just not true” and accused the complainants of lying.
During the trial, the prosecution accused the defendants of encouraging each other through a “fist-bump.” Both men denied this characterization. The jury ultimately sided with the defense, clearing the rapper and Blake-Walker of all charges.
Judge Pringle addressed the court, stating that the defendants were free to leave following the verdict.
